CV Architect is an online CV builder for Arabic and English speakers applying to jobs in the Gulf. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is operated by Omar Sakr (sole proprietor, Egypt).

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address, and a hashed password.
CV content you enter: work history, education, skills, contact details, and any other information you choose to add to a CV.
Payment records: when you subscribe, we store the plan, amount, and a payment reference. Card details are handled by our payment processors (Creem or Paymob, depending on how you pay) and never touch our servers.
Basic usage and error data through analytics (PostHog) and error tracking (Sentry) so we can fix problems and improve the product.

How we use it

To build, save, and let you download your CVs.
To run your account, subscription, and send service emails like receipts and password resets.
To respond to support requests.
To diagnose errors and understand which features are used.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run CV Architect: Creem (card payments, as merchant of record), Paymob (payments), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (app hosting), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (error tracking). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Data retention

We keep your account and CV data for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data and CVs, except records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons (such as payment receipts).

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email contact@falakeg.com and we will action your request.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to the production database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
